Women in Sierra Leone have been fighting for power in politics. Even through their continued efforts of trying to pass a bill to ensure a woman's representation in politics, Sierra Leone women have still not gotten the approval they have been fighting for. For many years, they have repeating the process of trying to get a bill to ensure that women can represent in political affairs approved by the government. The women fear that even if they do persuade the government to approve the bill, they will water it down so that it is basically ineffective. But through quick and effective organization, they believe that they can make this bill worth something in their history.
I support their actions to forward women's role in politics. It can only bring more variety into voting for certain things to be passed, I am always up for the progress of equality throughout the world. This would just be a step towards that equality. Their actions and persistence can only help their cause. With persistent efforts to push this bill, they will get it approved eventually and then women will have a greater impact on the politics in Sierra Leone.
This article addresses that women within the world have still not gained the equality they deserve. Women are out working to gain these rights in Sierra Leone but haven't made it far due to the superiority of men. Women in Sierra Leone and other places are still fighting to have the same opportunities as men and the freedom to not be judged on their gender, but on their character and actions.
